ABOUT MOUNTAIN MADNESS SOAP COMPANY

Mountain Madness Soap Co. was officially formed in the spring of 2005 after several years of soapmaking for friends, family and personal use. Being avid hikers, the business name came naturally after viewing mountain peaks covered in ice and snow and always being in awe of their magnificence and beauty.

We are a family owned and operated small business that began in the Golden Heart of Alaska’s vast Interior. We have started a new adventure by relocating our business to the beautiful Spokane, Washington area in the fall of 2007. We pride ourselves in making unique and useful soaps and keeping the tradition and art of soap making alive.

NATURAL INGREDIENTS ~ LOCALLY GROWN

The art of soapmaking is definitely a labor of love. It takes approximately six weeks from start to finish to make our small ten pound batches.

Each of our handmade soaps contain 60% of unrefined olive oil. This type of olive oil is green in color and is cultivated in Italy. We believe that once you have tried our handmade soaps rich in skin-pleasing oils that you will never turn back! We carefully select locally grown and organic ingredients to add to our soaps. We purchase local honey, grow vegetables, go berry picking several times during the season and what is created are unique blends that we are very proud of.
